When at the art exhibition on Thursday, I spotted this piece and it intrigued me. I had no idea what it was supposed to be featuring, and that’s why I was drawn to it. It featured both elements of women and meat inside of it. It is a screen print and was featured in the beginning to the left, hanging on the wall. I later found out that it was supposed to relate to the artist’s veganism and the patriarchy. She believes that if you eat meat, you support the patriarchy because both have views about viewing others as only body parts. Animals are marketed as body parts, such as buying thighs, breasts, and ribs. To her, this is like women because women are often viewed as body parts, like butts, breasts, and legs. She relates one to the other in this intriguing print.
