Blog Post: Sketch Effect

I used a sketch effect on an image of David Bowie. The reason why I choose this effect is because I am actually not good at sketching and I figured why not try it on Photoshop. This effect has various ways of initiating and I found this video being the most helpful with what I wanted to illustrate. Basically, the entire image is desaturated to give it the pencil-like effect and then a layer mask is added to hide the image. A specific toolbrush is then used to reveal the image as a sketching. There is some adjustment that could be made using the shift edge slide or the feather slide in in properties when selecting the mask layer so that the effect is more visible.
